Giving back locally is something our real estate team genuinely cares about. We believe when there's an opportunity to help our neighbors, we should.
This year, we are proud to support the Warrior Princess Pageant, benefiting The Beauty from Ashes Foundation. The organization provides wigs for women and girls going through chemotherapy, helping them feel a little more confident during an incredibly difficult season.
The event will be held on August 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Heritage Clubhouse in Canton, Georgia. We hope our neighbors will attend, support the participants and help us raise awareness for this meaningful cause.
We also know there are many schools, first responders, nonprofits and community organizations doing important work throughout Cherokee County. We want to hear about them. Please complete the form below and tell us about a local organization or event that could use additional support.
Our goal is simple: listen to our neighbors, find real needs in our community and use the resources we have to make a difference.
Previous Projects
These are opportunities we've had the privilege to support over the last year.
When school is in session, many food-insecure students depend on the two meals they receive each day at school. During breaks like Thanksgiving, that support disappears, leaving some local children unsure where their next meal will come from.
The Carl Hawthorne Team and Watkins Real Estate partnered with the Cherokee High School food pantry to help fill that gap. While many families were preparing for vacations and large holiday meals, our goal was to make sure local students had food at home and could experience a little joy on Thanksgiving morning.
Thanks to the generosity of our brokerage, we were able to sponsor a 15 year old Cherokee High School student for Christmas.
Together, we provided nearly everything on her wish list, including clothes, shoes, a winter coat, pajamas, art supplies and a few special items just for her. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed and helped make Christmas a little brighter for this young lady.
This is what community is all about. When people come together, even small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference.
With the help of our neighbors and community partners, we were able to deliver a large collection of clothing and shoes for both boys and girls to the Raider Closet at Teasley Middle School.
The Raider Closet gives students access to items they may need while allowing them to shop in a welcoming and dignified way. Donations included everyday clothing, shoes and other essentials that can help students feel more comfortable and confident at school.
We are grateful to everyone who contributed. This is a great example of what can happen when a community comes together to meet a local need and support students right here in Cherokee County.
